3 iPhone Tips to Help You Type Faster and More Accurately

If you own an iPhone, your typing skills might be getting in the way of your productivity. But don’t despair! By making small changes to the way you use your keyboard, you can develop new habits that will help you type faster and more accurately, so it will take less time to get the message across to your friends, family, and coworkers. Here are three iPhone tips to help you improve your typing skills and become more productive in the process.

1) Buy an External Keyboard

If you want to type faster on your iPhone, one of the best things you can do is buy an external keyboard. This way, you won’t have to rely on the on-screen keyboard, which can be slow and difficult to use. Plus, an external keyboard will help you make fewer mistakes since you’ll be able to see the keys more clearly. Here are a few things to keep in mind when shopping for an external keyboard 1) Look for keyboards that are Bluetooth compatible: Some keyboards need to be plugged into your device, while others connect wirelessly via Bluetooth. Bluetooth keyboards typically offer more features than wired ones and don’t require any extra cables or batteries.

2) Choose a keyboard with an adjustable stand:

Adjustable stands allow you to position the keyboard at different angles depending on how you’re sitting or standing, making it easier to use while typing away at home or work. The flexibility offered by these stands means you can move the device closer to you so that your arms aren’t extended as far. For this reason, they’re particularly helpful if you suffer from wrist pain.

In addition, some models include integrated backlighting for typing in low light conditions. When choosing a wireless keyboard, look for models that come with built-in rechargeable batteries so you don’t have to constantly worry about keeping them charged up. It’s also important to choose a wireless model if you plan on using it outdoors or somewhere without access to an electrical outlet. Finally, make sure your new wireless keyboard is Bluetooth compatible with your iPhone 5s before buying!

3) Customize Your Autocorrect Settings

One of the easiest ways to type faster on your iPhone is to customize your autocorrect settings. This way, you won’t have to keep stopping to fix misspelled words. To do this, go to Settings -> General -> Keyboard -> Auto-Correction. From there, you can choose how aggressively you want your phone to autocorrect words. If you don’t want it to autocorrect at all, you can turn the feature off entirely. Alternatively, if you often find yourself correcting the same word over and over again, then you may want to increase the amount of times that your iPhone will autocorrect that word.

For example, if you always correct thru as through, then set thru to be corrected three times before being left alone. Or if you are constantly changing were to where, then set where to be corrected twice before being left alone. Once you’ve made your selections, press Done and enjoy typing without worrying about spelling mistakes!

4) Turn off Voice Control

Voice Control is a great feature for hands-free use, but it can be a pain when you’re trying to type quickly. To turn it off, go to Settings > General > Siri & Search and toggle off the Listen for Hey Siri and Press Side Button for Siri options. With these turned off, you’ll be able to type without worrying about Voice Control getting in the way.

Don’t forget to enable Dictation: Turn on Dictation by tapping your keyboard’s microphone icon. And don’t worry if you make mistakes – with Autocorrect enabled, your words will likely be corrected as you type them! For example, typing I am at might produce I’m at. Keep your phone away from the edge of tables or desks: Placing your phone too close to an edge could cause accidental input from one side of the screen onto another – making this particularly frustrating when you’re typing! Place it about two inches from an edge for best results.

One more tip that might seem simple but can really help is using predictive text.
